Rooms in Westlake

Photographed by Ryan Ford

  • I added the cabinetry and moved the lighting out of center to bring in the wide hallway, where another full height cabinet completes the space. Using bookshelves as an art wall adds another layer.
  • The wall plaster was infused with gold for luster. The chandelier was left by a previous owner. The chair fabric is from Place Textiles.
  • I added the ceiling detail over the objections of an architect and the builder. The finials are only on the inside to point to the view.
  • This library also functions as the client's office. The custom bookshelves were painted with Farrow & Ball. The floors are mesquite parquet. The Donghia wallpaper, now discontinued, was my favourite.
  • Tropical respite in Texas.
  • Looking through to the Living Room and the Reading Spot.
  • The ceiling beams were added to bring the comfort of Tuscany to the bedroom.
